Re: Tablet Security Creates Headaches for Businesses. But, There's a Cure Discussion
ANY company that slaps any of these devices (other than Windows 7) onto their network needs a great big slap. If it can't be licked down by Group ploicy then it's NOT coming anywhere near the network.
....Yet tech pages keep on slamming Windows on tablets. Shame on them.
P.s. DIrector in work loves the Asus EP121 (He also has an Ipad)

I have to say that your article makes a very big error in grouping Windows 7 Tablet PCs in with Android and iOS devices. Any of the new Windows tablets will be compatible with the security software of 99.999% of all corporate networks. Really, it's only the ARM powered devices that present a problem.

Re: Tablet Security Creates Headaches for Businesses. But, There's a Cure Discussion
True, enterprise IT may have figured out Windows, but the tablet form factor also presents issues because it is mobile in a way a laptop is not. I think theft and accidental loss are bigger concerns with Windows tablets compared to Windows laptops precisely because tablets are devices designed for travel and mobility, whereas laptops are now the norm for many employees, regardless if they travel or not.
