LG Xnote C1 Tablet PC "sexed-up"

LG's new Tablet PC looks like it is built to please. Well aesthetically speaking, the Xnote C1 looks like it's all the right attributes. T3 reports that the Xnote C1 is "Finished in super-shiny gloss black, it is a treat for the eyes, but unfortunately it looks like this particular model will only make it to Korean shelves for the time being."

When we will start to see US customers getting anywhere close to the C1 tablet is at this time unkown. By the looks and specs of the impressive Xnote line, we can only hope it will be a releatively short wait! Read more...

I don't understand why North American markets are always the last to get new technology... especially tablets... weren't they initally championed by our own microsoft?

I mean... what happened to US being on the forefront of technological research?

Err.... I think you may be a little bit too quick to think the US is the last to get new technology.
You clearly have not lived in the UK or some parts of Europe.

Over on this side of the pond we often endure the same; watching as the US get the gear whilst the Brits sit out.

Basically it's a fact in technological life.... Where there is a release in technology, that country will no doubt get it first and everyone else must sit and wait.

It's like saying some games (PC, console, etc) are being released in the U.S. first, then several weeks or months later it is released in other markets. It's the same for where ever the publisher's country is, some get it earlier than others.

Also, there is those that are only sold in certain markets. For example: Dead Rising for XBOX 360 is sold everywhere except Germany, for some reason (to the best of my knowledge which I last heard about this 2 months ago, it could've changed). But, people in Germany can still order it from France or the UK and be able to play it. Very much like some people, be it resellers in the U.S. getting the products for sale or an individual(s) are ordering it off-shore to ship it to them.

I can also put this into another example: Battlestar Galactica.
The third season is currently underway for the U.S. and Canada, but for the UK it hasn't aired yet, but it will air sometime in January 2007.
