Motorola is reportedly going to introduce its first tablet computer running Google's Android OS late this fall. At this point, details are scanty, but this device will supposedly have a 10-inch display.

A few small copanies have released Android OS tablets, but no large company has introduced one. So the race is on.

Motorola appears to be near the head of the pack right now. Samsung and LG are in the running, too.

The Dell Streak is about to come out within days isn't it?

Right, but there's some question about whether that's a big smartphone or a small tablet.

To me, it's a big smartphone -- I have a hard time classifying something that will easily fit in my pocket as a tablet computer.

Still, the launch will likely be covered on this site, as I understand that others do consider the Streak a small tablet.
