Rep Power: 4 | Most Popular Tablet PCs of October 2009 Welcome to the October 2009 Most Popular Tablet PCs list. Rep Power: 1 | Re: Most Popular Tablet PCs of October 2009 I may have this wrong, but isn't this list self-perpetuating? You list the "Most Viewed Tablet PCs" right there on the left hand side. So of course, any newcomers (myself included) will click on the most "popular" ones first, thereby re-enforcing this data, despite the fact that we might actually find a different model more interesting. It seems to me that once you post this info on the front page of the site, and put links in there, it then becomes inaccurate.
For example, for as long as I've been viewing this site, the tx2500z has been in the top spot, despite the fact that it's more than two years old and has been superseded by the tx2z. Is that REALLY worthy of the top spot? This list states that it's the most popular tablet, when, if you were to do an actual survey, it's definitely not.
Or am I missing something here?
I wouldn't make a big deal out of this, but now sellers and manufacturers are using this list as if it indicates an actual rating, when in reality it's not.
Don't get me wrong. I love the site. It's a great resource for tablet-lovers like me. But that list has always irked me. |
