Microsoft OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1 Released
Tablet PC OneNote users rejoice! Microsoft has finally released the "official" OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1. New features include integration of notes with Windows Mobile Devices, Word Document "screen captures" and more:

OneNote was a powerful note-taking tool and freeform information manager when it was introduced along with Microsoft Office 2003. The Office OneNote 2003 SP1 (Service Pack 1) update makes the program an even more powerful and secure solution for enterprise use. It's also easier for students, home users, and other casual users to manage. The most dazzling feature of the first version included the ability to record audio while taking notes (typed or handwritten) and have the two synced automatically and available for playback. (Note that you needed a good microphone to capture more than just the clicking of your fingers on the keyboard.) SP1 extends that ability by letting you feed video recordings into OneNote in exactly the same way.
Other new features include the ability to import static images of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. You can then add the same kinds of annotations, highlights, pictures, sound files, and live Web links that you can add to any other OneNote page. Screen captures can be added to a page by choosing Screen Clipping from the Insert menu and dragging the mouse to frame the image you want to import.
Tabbed sections can be password-protected to secure corporate (or personal) data. If you do want to share data, pages can be exported to Web pages or Word files for editing and viewing by users who don't have OneNote. And Enterprise users get new shared whiteboarding features in which multiple SharePoint users can mark up the same page simultaneously.
OneNote's interface uses section tabs across the top. Within each section, there are page tabs along the right. Confusingly, section tabs can be renamed by right-clicking on them, but right-clicking on a page tab doesn't give you the same option; you can only change the title on the page tab by editing the page itself. Smaller tabs for "subpages" couldn't be titled at all in the original version; they now take their title from the words closest to the top, so your subpage titles may change when you rewrite your notes...
