J3500 and Bluetooth issue
hello,
I have a motion tablet J. 3500 and am overall quite happy with it. I am wondering if anybody else has had the connection issues with the Bluetooth and Windows 7?
I have a Bluetooth headset that I use for dictation and it can connect initially and pair successfully but when the connection is broken by walking away or turning off the headset the reconnection success is variable.
I've heard this is an issue with Windows 7 but I also noticed that the Bluetooth card driver in this tablet is circa 2006.
Motion was not helpful in this regard.
I tried the same thing with an x200t Lenovo running windows 7 there was a very nice utility called "Bluetooth connections and operations". This seems to be part of the Bluetooth card in that computer. I don't think I be able to get the same utility on my tablet.
Anyone else it's Bluetooth issues in Windows 7? Any information is appreciated or links to relevant threads.
thanks
BKing

Re: J3500 and Bluetooth issue
I'm sorry I don't know anything about your issue. You are the first I've seen that owns that j3500 and I was curious if you could tell me if it gets hot or if the screen gets heated, or beneath it to where its uncomfortable without something between you and it. I'm interested in this model but there aren't many reviews on it yet.
If you haven't already, you might try over at tabletpcbuzz also for the question regarding your bluetooth problem.

Re: J3500 and Bluetooth issue
the tablet does not seem to get very hot, though I carry it around all day, as an MD. We do EMR.
It is a bit heavy compared to the 1600,, but the battery life is better. I turn off multitouch as it is only annoying with our Emr software.
The bluetooth connectivity is a real PITA though.
The unit has very nice quality, but then again we have only used Motion for the last 5 yrs.

BKing,
You should be receiving a call back from Motion Support with some additional Info. This should assist you with your BT issue. If you have any further questions you can shoot me a mesage via the forum..

Re: J3500 and Bluetooth issue
what Bluetooth stack do you use? Windows default, Toshiba, Widcomm, ...? If you don't use the Windows default, then you may deinstall the current BT stack and try to use the Windows default one.

Re: J3500 and Bluetooth issue
well, then he might give the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack a try. Maybe the stack works and fixes this issue.
