Man, it hurt my wallet, but I went ahead and sprung for the PL900 (UP-817E) from Amazon UK. It says that it will take almost two weeks to get here, but I am hoping the wait is worth it. I considered going with the Bamboo feel pen because of the extra bit of precision, but I much prefer having a stylus that is larger, has two buttons and an eraser over the thinner stylus sans all of those things (but with slightly better precision).

I was also curious as to which pen people seem to like better between the Axiotron Studio Pen and the Wacom PL900 (UP-817E)? I don't know much about the Axiotron, does it accept legacy Wacom nibs or a different type of nibs?

    Thanks!

...Both pens accept legacy Wacom nibs (the larger diameter nibs).

...Speaking only for myself, I find both pens to be essentially comparable, with nothing that strongly influences my preference in any way.

Thanks Steve, that is good to know. My decision came down to those two pens, but with the Axiotron being impossible to find, I went with the Wacom PL900, which is a little bit less impossible to find. I am sure I will be happy with my purchase!

Not trying to spoil your purchase but why didnt you bought the regular axiotron modbook pen? It's essentially the same without the rubber grip, as far as I can tell.

    Modbook Pro Digitizer Pen

    It's way cheaper I believe.

Thanks, that pen is actually not cheaper than the one that I bought. Also, I was looking for the fatter style Wacom pen as well as one that had two buttons. That one looks like it only has 1 button, but I may be wrong on that. Either way, I was definitely looking for the fatter style pen, so this one wouldn't work for me.

The problem with these is they are not ergonomic fat grip like the Axiotron ones are. I think half of the feeling of control that the better pens provide is in the fact that the shape allows you more control of the pressure curve.

So what's the "best" pen option available atm for drawing on a TabletPC?

I've been on the hunt for an Axiotron Studio Pen for months to no avail.
I'm looking at the UP-817E as it's probably the best option here.

I currently have the x230t and t902 pens, lately I'm finding the t902 pen is better...

Am I able to change the nibs with the UP-817E with the current gen Wacom Intuos nibs? That's the only thing holding me back here.
