Default To Fix or Not to Fix?

I've had my x61t for over a month now and have just started medical school. Two days ago I turned on my computer and the infamous horizontal shaking lines appeared for the first time since I have had it. I pushed on the lower left corner of the screen and they went away. This seems to work pretty consistently. Should I send it in for repair now or wait until lenovo actually addresses the problem and fixes the SXGA screen issue?

Well if you can temporarily fix it yourself, i would wait. As long as it doesnt limit your work or even keep you from working, in which case it would be best to get it fixed ASAP.

If its only a minor inconvienience, i wouldnt recomend sending it in for a few weeks to get it fixed, as that would probobly be a bigger problem.

Right... I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad would kill us, and dance about on our graves singing "Hallelujah."
But you try and tell the young people today that... and they won't believe ya'.

I agree. I would wait a month or two to let Lenovo clear out this backlog. Had the same problem with a x60 and would not have sent it in if I knew the wait would be like this. It better have a SXGA+ and digitizer when I get it back!
