Re: X61t Purchasing, Customizing and Troubleshooting FAQs
i ordered a x61 tablet in 09/04.. and yes, like everyone here, lenovo delayed my shipping too, from 9/21 to 10/17 without any explaination. so everyone here are trying to say something to new potential customers. let me say the truth :
DO NOT BUY LENOVO.
it’s clear.. because if you try to order one, ( they say lenovo will ship notebooks in 10 day, haha, funny! ) be ready for a two month delay, and don’t be so sure about having your tablet 2 months later.
if you e-mail lenovo…?
no turning back..!
if you call them…?
no clear answers..!
so..? if you want to risk your 2000-3000 dollars, lenovo x61 is a great machine for this adventure.. order it now!

Re: X61t Purchasing, Customizing and Troubleshooting FAQs
I'm sorry, but I do not agree with that: "Do not buy Lenovo" stuff.
Two reasons:
1. I don't think the shipment delays are enough to make you consider a product. It should be combined with all other pros ans cons of the product, and compared to those of other products, because it's roughly 2000$ for all the tablets (of the same features) out there.
2. I know that one example doesn't prove a point, but at least in my case, I needed the tablet (Ordered on 12.9.07) to ship very quickly, so I contacted the rep, and pleaded him to send it quickly (ship date on site - 8.10.07), otherwise it would be useless to me as I'm leaving the states on the 8th of October.
It was shipped on the 25.9.07 (13 days, WOOT
) and will arrive on Monday.
Hope this helps anyone
Doron.

Re: X61t Purchasing, Customizing and Troubleshooting FAQs
I'm having the same issue except on the warranty side. See my post
They sent me an email to tell me my computer would be delayed when I ordered it, so I called to cancel. Behold, they say it take "24-48 hrs to cancel." Yeah, next day I get a notice that my order shipped.
Now warranty side. Total crap. I may just be one customer, but if they treated everyone like an isolated incident, wouldn't it being a major issue? They don't see it apparently.

Re: X61t Purchasing, Customizing and Troubleshooting FAQs
ordered mine on 8/10/08. They better ship before the new school term rolls around
at least they don't actually charge you until they ship.
