Do you use a screen protector?
Do you use a screen protector on your tablet? I'm getting a X61T soon and am wondering whether I should get one or not. I'm leaning towards the Boxwave anti-glare one but I don't know how much clarity I would lose.

Re: Do you use a screen protector?
Unless you're leaving the tablet in slate mode when not in use, it's not needed imo. The pen won't scratch it. Other than the massive amount of fingerprints that get on it, I like it how it is :P

Re: Do you use a screen protector?
I use the boxwave crystal clear screen protector. Its not the greatest thing ever as there are always air bubbles and some bits of dirt or hair always seem to get stuck underneath now matter how careful I am or how hard I try. It also makes the screen more reflective, effectively increasing the glare over the MT/MV screen. That said, it seems to do a good job protecting the screen and overall, I much prefer the feel of inking on the screen protector than without.

Re: Do you use a screen protector?
I used a Writeshield anti-glare protector which was originally cut for Gateway 14". I cut it myself after carefully measuring the screen size of X61t.
I applied it almost right after opening my SXGA+. It was easy to apply and I only had to deal with one air bubble, which I eventually removed by following the included instructions.
I feel that the screen is probably a little darker than without, although I can't really confirm since I didn't see the screen on before applying the protector. There is also a Writeshield crystal clear protector that is available.
I do like the feel of the surface(great for writing/drawing) very much and I can remove smudges easily.

Re: Do you use a screen protector?
I've had my x60t for around seven months now without any protector and I keep it in tblet mode all the time mostly for monitoring email in my car as I drive around. the multitouch is great as i can access everything without resorting to pen or keyboard. I have a couple of minor scratches on the screen but nothing I can see when it is being used. Ony if the screen is black and I look across it in the right light. It still works great and I am overall bery happy with it.
I figure its a tool and I will probably hanker for something different within two years anyway but so far it seems to be even more durable than I had expected. I do treat it with some respect but I for sure dont baby it. Just dont heave it across the room or anything lol.

This is one of the reasons in using a screen protector.I have a couple of minor scratches on the screen but nothing I can see when it is being used.
I myself never used to use one but left it too late on a Tablet.
Never again.......

Re: Do you use a screen protector?
Sorry.... I'll clarify that.
I never used to use screen protectors and by the time I did apply one to my Tablet it was already too late, the damage had been done.

Re: Do you use a screen protector?
P8RSON, what screen protector do you use? More importantly, how does it affect the viewability of the screen? I like the boxwave anti-glare one, but I heard it makes the screen more cloudy. I'm wondering if it is a huge difference.

Re: Do you use a screen protector?
I don't have a screen protector. This is my first tablet PC and I was under the impression that it wasn't necessary. However it if improves the feel of inking I am putting this under consideration . . .
Quick question - where are you guys purchasing these screen protectors?

You never used to use a screen protector. But yet you left the screen protector -that you never used- too late on a tablet-that never had it on-?
