Will stylus work with TPT2 base model (without pen)?

There are a few base models that do not come with Pen & Digitizer. Does that mean that
(a) The screen is touchscreen only and Wacom stylus will not work on it
or
(b) It just does not come with a pen, and I can use my old stylus on it.

nope , the digitizer layer is not included in the base level so you cannot use any pen on it.

Either that, or perhaps Lenovo disables the digitizer via software (on the cheaper model) to make it look like the machine was shipped without a digitizer. This way, if anyone tries to buy a Pen separately later, it won't work. The point is, something doesn't sound right with that story of a Wacom-based digitizer costing only $30.

Has anyone managed to get a pen-less TPT2 working with stylus? Maybe install wacom drivers? Reformat and install fresh OS?
