Re: Thinkpad Tablet 2 - Initial Impressions
Mine is faulty - doesn't recognise the pen, and when looking at the drivers it says there is no power.....
A bit annoying but have called Lenovo and they will replace the tablet.

Re: Thinkpad Tablet 2 - Initial Impressions
yes, reset, tried to update drivers etc. It says in the driver dialogue box that there is a power issue. I reckon they haven't connected it correctly, so will be getting replaced.
Anyway, just been out and had a look at the Surface RT in a store for the first time since getting my TP2 and now have completely changed my mind on the Surface. The TP2 is much better in feel, and I would say better quality build.

Re: Thinkpad Tablet 2 - Initial Impressions
I've noticed after a cold boot that the system interrupts process will hover between 5-10% until the device is put into sleep mode. After awaking, the same process generally stays at 0.1%. It will stay this low until another cold boot.
Can someone else test the above?
*edit* If you awake from sleep immediately this doesn't work. Let the device sleep for at least 5 seconds. You can do a cold boot by turning off "fast startup" in the power options. Then choose shut down from the charm's power menu.Last edited by noxxle; 01-06-2013 at 09:15 AM.

Re: Thinkpad Tablet 2 - Initial Impressions
I don't agree. My USB port is really loose and have seen the case separate when trying to connect a thumb drive. If you twist just slightly at the USB port it pops the casing wide open. Not glued or sealed at all. Just pressed together with tiny plastic clips. The ASUS 810, Envy x2 and even the Samsung units seem better built to me. It feels great in hand but after needing to purchase 16 of the original Android Thinkpad tablets before I got a good one I am very unimpressed at the quality of the TP2.
