Re: Lenovo Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2 - Tablet + dockable Keyboard Combo
Well, the Tansformer seems to be able to do it. That's why I'm hoping something like the S7 will too. But I've used non-alterable keyboards before, and I never liked it. So I agree with you there. It needs to feel and act like a laptop when I want it to be a laptop, or it isn't really doing what I think a keyboard dock should do-- namely, provide a truly mobile keyboard solution with full functionality.

Hopefully it has a good screen with high color accuracy, and correct contrast.

Re: Lenovo Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2 - Tablet + dockable Keyboard Combo
From what I've seen at Computex and since, the Surface and the Tablet 2 have one fixed angle for the keyboard dock, whereas Asus's models will have a detachable hinge.

Thinkpad Tablet 2 at IFA: link.
Not much new info at all. The more I see that active digitizer and read about the "Active Digitizer Option" the more I think the digitizer is the pen itself. Ntrig.

I would a agree a matte ups screen with good color gamut could have sold it for me and I'm sure others too.

Re: Lenovo Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2 - Tablet + dockable Keyboard Combo
Every single review of the Thinkpad Tablet 2 has commented on its bugginess. I haven't seen similar comments with, say, the Envy X2 or the Samsung devices (which also have had a decent number of reviews). What's going on with that?

Re: Lenovo Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2 - Tablet + dockable Keyboard Combo
That stuff should be worked out by launch; for me the only thing to worry about now is the performance of inking in OneNote or any other such software. Previous videos of Win 8 OneNote performance on an Atom showed rather dismal lag. I hope that Clover Trail is able to pull through on the full Win 8 as well as my X220T on Win 7, at least when it comes to inking.
