Re: X220T arrived last night.
I just looked up the specs. The x220t is 1.24" thick at its max. That's gotta be without the battery bump, because the x200t (which is suppossedly thinner than the x220t when it has the battery bump attached) is 1.31" thick. By all the pics I've seen, they look about the same (the difference of .07" being pretty negligible). The 2011 and 2010 macbook pros are .95" thick. A reasonable difference.
The x220t seems to have the same thickness curse all the tablets have. The HPs and Lenovo's all run about 1.25-1.3" thick. The Fujitsus, of course, are huge, by my standard. All the Macs are right around 1" or less. The Airs less than 3/4" thick at their thickest.
As before, I love my Thinkpad, but I'd never sell it to someone because it was so svelte or light weight.Currently own:
x200t Superbright Outdoor-- 128 gb Intel ssd, 8 gb ram, Win7 64bit, 8 and 4-cell batteries
le1600 VA -- XP, 2 gb ram, art slate for my daughter and nieces
Owned: Motion le1600 VA, le1700, le1700 VA, le1700 UVA, X200t Superbright, X201t Superbright Outdoor, Fujitsu t5010, Motion j3400

Re: X220T arrived last night.
With the slice battery, it's quite a slab, but when you turn it on freshly charged, the battery indicator says 23:00. How cool is that? I'm on day 2 without a recharge, and currently showing 9 more hours. I'm still in transfer and set-up, with lots of installations and downloads going on.
Also, another improvement from my old X60 and X61 is they finally put the speakers on the screen side, instead of buried in your lap.
