Re: Vista Premium !! 1Gb + RAM 128Mb Graphic
1.) With a 128MB dedicated graphics card - Yes.
2.) 1 GB RAM -Yes, but I would, along with others, would recommend upgrading to at least 2 GB of RAM.
3.) External monitor - Yes.
4.) SXGA support - Yes.
---
Your best bet is either with the Toshiba M7, with the nVidia Quadro NVS 110 (128 MB) or the Acer C210 with the nVidia GeForce 7300 Go (256MB).
---
With the Lenovo X60 Tablet PC, which I assume you are talking about it as this thread is in the Lenovo forum, will handle the Aero Glass UI with the integrated Intel graphics chip, but it will not beat the performance of a dedicated graphics card.

Re: Vista Premium !! 1Gb + RAM 128Mb Graphic
Hi European Gary,
The X60 is Vista Capable, but I'm thinking it can be Vista Premium Ready as well. The X60 does not have an embedded graphics card, it is instead an Intel integrated graphics chipset, the Graphics Media Accelerator 950 to be exact. An emedded, or dedicated, graphics card has dedicated memory within the chip (like nVidia, ATI, etc); the integrated graphics (like Intel GMA 950) "borrows" system memory. The difference? Performance.
In brief: Yes, slightly. Yes, the X60 can support the Windows Aero Glass UI, even with the Intel GMA950. However, when compared to the performance between, say, a Tablet PC with a dedicated graphics card from either ATI or nVidia; one will have much better performance with a dedicated graphics card over th Intel integrated graphic chipset. However, unless if you're into gaming, 3D rendering, then a dedicated graphics card is the way to go; if you're not int any of the listed above, then your order with the X60 should be fine with what you're doing.

The R1F can also handle Glass pretty well. it also uses the GMA950 graphics.
I'm currently running Vista on it and must say it runs just dandy. But I would definitely recommend 2 Gigs of Ram as Vista and a couple of small apps already use about 900 Megs.

As can the FUjitsu T4210 and T4215 (although I have not seen it as yet on the T4215).
Again I would go with the others here though and say to you... stop thinking 1GB RAM is enough, 2GB should be on the menu.
Yes, it will start the machine and load VISTA with 1GB but you will VERY soon be hitting the hard drive and virtual memory not long after.

Re: Vista Premium !! 1Gb + RAM 128Mb Graphic
I have ordered with 2GB Ram , but I am thinking now of changing it to 3 because I want to use VMWARE and have XP as a virtual!!
The question which would be interested to have answered though, Can I run Aero on the X60 tablet with an external monitor having the same res as the internal? I have ordered SXGA+ so I want 1400 * 1050 internal and the same external as extended desktop. I read somewhere in the forum that this may not be possible with only 128mb shared graphic!! that would not be nice. Maybe we can go to 256MB ? is it possible in the BIOS?
