X201t newbie seeks guidance: Golbi SIM detection problem

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a second hand X201t 2985-EZG, it is really awesome, but I am having some troubles with the WWAN:

I live in UK and I have a "three mobile" sim card that I have managed to use a couple of times, it works occasionally. I plug the sim card inside and turn the WWAN on and the app keeps saying that it cannot detect the sim. I repeat, I have managed to use it several times and it works nice and fast when it detects the sim.

Any suggestions?

The sim card can not be inserted on the slot while the computer is on, it will not detect it. It needs to be inside when the computer starts.

Having the same problems, with the same spec machine, though if you go into Access Connections it should take the settings for the sim card and allow you to connect, I have an O2 simcard and it reads the settings from that.

I was also told that if you use the Verizon drivers then it does not require a simcard but not sure how that would work in the UK or europe for that matter.

I think I have solved my problem, apparently you can not insert your sim card while the computer is on. So that was the problem. It works nice now.
