Default BSOD after docking

X61-T will always BSOD after docking. Microsoft reports a bad driver. USB's on base connected to WD 250 My Passport and HP IPAQ4700 with Windows Mobile 2003. The optical drive provided with the base is installed. Updated BIOS and drivers from Lenovo website with no change. Screen orientation bounces around after undocking and after docking. How can I access the screen settings to see if this could be the problem? Unit was sent in to remove and replace broken stylus.

Have you tried the latest Intel drivers? What happen when you have no external device or cable connected to the port replicator?

Thanks for your reply. I have tried docking with both removed, singularly and together and it still BSOD's. The only drivers that I updated are those provided by the Lenovo website. How would I find the drivers on the Intel website? Screen rotation always seem erratic and usually requires being set manually. The BSOD problem started after the unit was received from the repair facility although it wasn't necessarly something that they did. There have been Windows updates since then.

I found the Intel Website and checked my driver status. It said that a custom driver is installed and that I should not replace it.

Hehe, they tell a lot, and most of it is useless and rubbish.
Just download the correct Intel driver and install them. There's normally no need for a Lenovo customized and outdated driver, and if you notice that something works worse after you've installed the Intel drives, just install the Lenovo drivers again.
Also is the Intel driver your only option, or? So better to try the Intel driver than to live with a not working tablet PC.

However, before you do it, you can also take a look at the Event view list in windows (can't tell you how to access it, because I use a german Windows, so google for it) and take a look at the Lenovo drivers or utilities which are responsible for docked/undocked profile. I don't know if there's such a utility or how it is called. Just make sure that the installed Lenovo software runs fine, maybe reinstall them, too, if you haven't done it already.
