I use mine when reading PDF files to advance pages etc. I would love to learn what others are using this for as well (may be I will catch some tips).

You could remap the buttons for program-to-program shortcuts, use it for general shortcuts and such. Also to scroll around. Anyway, lower resolution + grainy screen (The screen will be grainy with a passive digitizer), more expensive, losing features (facepalm..).. yeah I do not know why anyone would buy the X200T over the X61T.

  • I agree it will be grainy with the passive digitizer, but who is to say it wouldn't be optional?
  • Also, prices haven't been set, it could be very similar in price.
  • We lose the NavDial, but the fingerprint scanner could be a scroller.... I do see the addition of a Webcam and also the new Centrino platform with faster CPU, DDR3 RAM, and better battery life though.
  • There is an additional button along the bottom as well, which could be assigned to open applications
I would strongly consider the X200T over an X61T

Doubtful that the battery life would be better, its likely to be even lower with the active and passive digitizer and now that it has a faster (albeit more efficient CPU).

The webcam is useless seriously. So overall, you get the exact same thing as the X61T, but you lose high resolution, gain passive digitizer, and webcam but lose the navdial and get a crappy keyboard layout.. for more money!

That crappy keyboard layout on the x200t is exactly the same as my x61t...

Battery life from leaked specs is 7 hours, x61t is quoted at 7 hours too, we can only assume battery life will be equal... link link

Webcam is a serious requirement for many people, I'm not one, but I have had times I thought it would be nice to have.

You lose high res option, but you get a medium option, the pixel density for a 1280x800 > 1024x768 but less than the 1400x1050 screen. I think wide screen is solid option.

how is a keyboard layout crappy b/c of the placement of one key, like anything you will get used to it, give it a week or 2 and you'll forget you ever had a problem.

Heh, I meant the tablet layout, keyboards are the same (With a slightly bigger CRTL button).

If you just have WXGA, then its basically the same as all of the other tablets basically except the large majority of people would find it "uglier" or "bland" (Though I do not necessarily feel this way).

Anyway, I wouldn't buy the X200T, I would rather just buy the Fujitsu T5010. The main reason someone would buy the X60/X61 over the other tablets would be because of the SXGA screen. Though someone people want the WXGA screen with a passive digitizer on a Lenovo tablet and here it is I guess.

The second main reason for buying Lenovo is that they offer a good comprehensive warranty with accidental protection, and that they actually fix their problems, and you can have them ship you individual parts to fix it yourself instead of giving up your tablet for weeks or months at a time. At least this is what I've seen with my brother. He's exchanged a few batteries and other minor pieces. It'd be better if nothing ever needed to get replaced, but actually being able to fix it yourself without any hassle or cost is nearly as good imo.
