scrolling
So, I've never really gotten to play around with a lenovo tablet, and had one quick question for those of you who actually have them.
On the old HP laptop I've been using, I've gotten pretty used to the touchpad (with the downside being that it's awful on my wrist, but I digress.)
Switching to the thinkpad button doesn't seem like it'll be too hard, with one exception...scrolling. The touchpad has a dedicated scroll strip that doesn't require positioning the mouse cursor over the scroll bar and dragging, and I confess I've gotten used to it as the main means by which I scroll, even with a mouse plugged in. Is there any similar function when in laptop mode with the x61t? Am I likely to miss it?

Re: scrolling
heh, it's probably a habit I would do well to break myself of. (especially having broken myself a bit more literally in the wrist area earlier this year. Quite a bit of hardware holding things together in there, and paired with the bad ergonomics of using a touchpad...

Re: scrolling
The middle button below the keyboard is assigned to scrolling by default, but you can change that if you want. Basically its click and hold, and push the pointer... I found that fantastic.
If you can't get used to the pointing stick, you can buy a USB trackpad (with and without buttons) and they have different methods to stick (or secure) it to the machine (velcro, double sided tape, clips etc). Just find one that best suits you.
Edit: you can also assign clicking both buttons to be scroll...

Re: scrolling
Thanks for the input guys! Sounds like it'll work well (and I guess there's the whole tablet/touchscreen aspect of computer interface to get used to as well.)

I've had the dedicated scroll area on all the laptops I've owned, and I've yet to get used to them. I always just use the arrow keys to do my scrolling.
