Just Ordered, Now A Few Questions regarding Shipping Date, Turbo Memory, etc...
Well after looking around for a bit and being fed up with my current methods for taking notes in my college classes, I decided to place an order for a Lenovo tablet. I'm getting kind of scared looking around this forum and seeing all the issues, but hopefully I won't encounter them.

Anyway, I have a few questions.
1.) My estimated ship date for my tablet is December 26th. Is this normal? Can I expect it to ship before then or is there some sort of delay because of parts availability or the holidays?
2.) Has the LCD bevel issue been taken care of on the newer tablet models?
3.) Has anyone had experience with the 3M Vikuiti ARMR200 Screen Protector? It's awful expensive, but I've heard decent things about it. Are there cheaper screen protectors that are just as good?
4.) I got 45% off by combining the 20% ecoupon code I found, and the usual 20% discount Lenovo seems to be offering. Any possible way of getting a little more off?
5.) What are the experiences with the intel turbo memory? Should I expect to see a difference?
6.) Does anyone have the X60/X61 Tablet Protector carrying case? How do you like it?
I guess that's all the questions I have now. I looked around the forums quite a bit before posting, but I haven't found definitive answers to any of the above questions. Hopefully a few of you can answer some of them.
I'm looking forward to getting my new tablet, I just hope it's before the estimated ship date. I pretty much optioned it out with every option available. Hopefully I'll be happier using the tablet to take notes than the two notebooks I go through every few weeks now. Any advice would be appreciated. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute to the community here once I get my tablet.

Seems about right, you may be lucky if it ships before then and comes to you before Christmas.1.) My estimated ship date for my tablet is December 26th. Is this normal? Can I expect it to ship before then or is there some sort of delay because of parts availability or the holidays?
There's quite some discussion about screen protectors for the Lenovo X61 Tablet PC, I suggest I quick search for such topics, but I'll help you out by starting you off:3.) Has anyone had experience with the 3M Vikuiti ARMR200 Screen Protector? It's awful expensive, but I've heard decent things about it. Are there cheaper screen protectors that are just as good?

Do you use a screen protector?
There's a recent discussion about this here: Dont understand Lenovo discounts??!!!4.) I got 45% off by combining the 20% ecoupon code I found, and the usual 20% discount Lenovo seems to be offering. Any possible way of getting a little more off?

Were you an ostrich or emu in a previous life? You will be reincarnated as one for sure!
X61T: 1.6Ghz, 2GB RAM, SXGA+, 200GB 7200RPM HDD, Vista Ultimate, + Other bonuses including: bezel seperation + bezel pushing down unevenly on the screen causing pressure marks, screen that won't rotate open fully, misaligned jog wheel, half working " key, a battery that moves in and out 5mm, constant fan noise with buzzing, loose crackling headphone jack , and the icing on the cake: shoddy sticker placement. All for just $2200! Thanks Lenovo! []FIXED[]

Thanks SimsHsia for the reply. I appreciate the links, it helped out. I hadn't found those with my search.
I just had to change the credit card information I used, so I had to cancel the order and redo it. The guy I talked to at the sales department was extremely helpful. I'm impressed so far. I also got a USB fingerprint keyboard for free. Apparently there's a mistake on the website that allows you to get one for free with a purchase of a laptop. He said that Lenovo will honor it, because the mistake hasn't been corrected yet. So I got a $100 keyboard for free. Not a bad deal when you combine it with the 45% discount.
I also ordered the Vikuiti screen protectors. A guy I know is gonna split the cost with me.
The only bad thing is now the ship date is 12.27.07 so I'll have to wait one day extra if the date is accurate. Hopefully it ships before then though.
Student, from what I've read, you've had some bad experiences, but I'm hoping mine isn't like that. If the phone call I just had was any indication, they seem decent.
Anyway, if anyone else has any advice, I would appreciate it.

I ordered my x61t 1 day before yours (on Nov 30th), and my ship date says 12/25/07. It hasn't changed yet, but i'll let you know if it ships sooner.
x61t::C2D L7500, 12.1" SXGA+, 2gb ram, 100gb hdd, the works! ;]

Let's hope they do.

Does yours say "in processing" still? When I called to change the credit card information because of a limit I had on the other card for daily spending, the guy said there was a credit card issue showing up for the old card; yet I got no notification from Lenovo and it still said "in processing". You would think they would at least try to contact me about it.

an order I put in 11/26 said it had a ship date of 12/20 but actually shipped 12/02. (Ironically, it was an order I thought I had canceled, but that's another story...)

That's promising about the ship date. What type of configuration did you have? I made sure not to select anything that had the red "this selection may delay your shipment" tag. Bossy, that might be why yours has a different ship date that's farther away? Check and see if any of the options you checked off now have the delayed shipment notification.
