X61 and Verizon wireless help please
I recently purchased an x61 model 7762D6U, which came configured with an Intel 8965AGN wireless adapter installed.
I also just purchased a Verizon wireless account, which came with their free USB modem. Trying to get the following answered by their support people is like talking to my dog.
Could someone please tell me if I need the USB adapter, or if the installed card would allow me to access the internet as I travel about; and if not, where do I find information on how to configure the installed card to work with the new Verizon account.?
If the internal card will cannot provide anything but local wireless access, am I better off with another external card type, and should I use the Verizon accessing hardware, or am I better off having the new account link added to the pre-installed software?
I appreciate any help.
