Lenovo X61 Tablet Arrived.. wobbly hinge?
Well my Lenovo X61 Tablet arrived, brand new off of eBay (confirmed with Lenovo and multiple seals). Although I've come across an issue with my hinge, it turns a tad bit to the right before the lock to turn it around. So an apparent wobble can be observed.
I also have an issue with the battery, it doesn't seem to lock into place as well as it should, as the left side (or right of the battery when held upside down) can be pulled a bit, the side that automatically locks.
Are these reported issues? Can a US Lenovo warranty apply with Lenovo Canada?
Thanks

That's odd, because I read from numerous sources that the hinge was great. Except I see a visible ability to turn when not pushed for tablet mode swivel. It has become rather annoying.

l can see some hinge wobble yes and the battery is a tad loose, but anyway overall quality impression is top notch - and I am quite picky in this respect.
Maybe have a look at the X61t videos at youtube

Mine is the same, I think. The battery wobbles just a bit, but it's nowhere near bothersome. It's secure. The screen can be rotated slightly in the direction it dowsn't swivel, but it doesn't rotate by itself, and is quite secure when in either closed, laptop or tablet position.

Did you purchase a preconfigured unit? Or a configure to order (CTO) model? All the preconfigured units come with international warranty service (and Canada is on the list of countries)

Re: Lenovo X61 Tablet Arrived.. wobbly hinge?
I know it's not as rock solid as we'd like it to be, but I have no problem holding the x61t by either the screen or the battery. And I do both frequently.

Re: Lenovo X61 Tablet Arrived.. wobbly hinge?
the battery doesn't bother me all too much, but the screen wobble does. Also, i notice the spacebar is higher on the left than it is on the right (ie. it is not perfectly level). Are any issues like this addressed by lenovo?

Re: Lenovo X61 Tablet Arrived.. wobbly hinge?
Regarding your spacebar: did you try unclipping it and have a look under it what makes it uneven? Usually it is just not precisely clipped in.
