------------------------
Compiler/IDE: Embarcadero C++ Builder XE (formerly Borland C++ Builder)
So what's new? (MacHater's unofficial builds)
Version 1.09
- Added "Gestures" tab
- Added three-finger Swipe Up feature, invokes Windows Aero Flip (inspired by Apple's Mac OS X Lion Mission Control swipe up feature)
- Added three-finger Swipe Left/Right feature, invokes Alt+Tab (inspired by Apple's Mac OS X Lion task switch swipe left/right feature)
- Fixed PayPal donation link
- Added invert scrolling direction feature, inspired by the community of TabletPCReview, Smartphones, and Apple's Mac OS X Lion
Version 1.08
- Added horizontal two finger scrolling
- Added checkboxes to allow disabling/enable vertical & horizontal scrolling individually
- Improved upon original implementation of edge scrolling
- New ability to scroll horizontally while vertically edge scrolling, and vice versa
- Various GUI tweaks
- Fixed a jumping cursor bug with original author's implementation of one+one, and two+one click
- Fixed a jumping cursor scrolling bug with vertical scrolling
Version 1.07
- Physical button click and drag with two fingers now work as intended (especially HP's "ClickPads")
- Double tap with one finger and drag with another now work as intended
- Added palm detection feature in General tab for scrolling and tapping (specific to this application)
- Added Exit & Save button to the top of the GUI
- Added About button to the top of GUI
Recommended settings:
- Disable MultiFinger Gestures in Synaptics' driver (at LEAST disable their two-finger scrolling)
Test setup:
- HP TouchSmart TM2t-2100CTO (Core i5 470UM, HD 5450)
- Synaptics Touchpad driver 15.2.7
- Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64
- VMWare Workstation 7.1 (for Guest OS scrolling testing)
Interesting facts:
- I had to learn how to use C++ Builder, since this project was built originally using it.
My background is in using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- This program (two-finger-scroll) is the ONLY solution for getting the Synaptics touchpad
to properly scroll in VMWare guests. Synaptics' native implementation does NOT work at all in VMWare.
What's to come in future versions?
- Maybe finish up Arkadiusz' circular scrolling?
- Horizontal scrolling? (Done in v1.0.8!)
- Ability to manually add applications to the "Compatibility mode" list through the GUI
(without having to Ctrl+Shift+Alt every application)
- Apple MacBook/Pro-style "right-clicking" via corner tapping
Hope you guys find my mod useful!
