Is 2760p cpu soldered on?
Or is it like the 2560p with a socket so you can upgrade it to a quad core? A quad 2760p would be a dream come true!

Re: Is 2760p cpu soldered on?
i would wait to see what the 2760p's Ivy Bridge successor looks like. A 35watt Ivy Bridge quad would be ideal. Hopefully, HP will offer it as an option since it has the same TDP as the dual core CPUs.

If HP is smart they should get the ivy bridge tablet pc out as soon as possible.

Re: Is 2760p cpu soldered on?
According to the service manual, each motherboard with a specific CPU has its own part number.

Didn't realize this myself until the issue was brought up. But in this case, I have no need to upgrade the CPU given what I use my 2760P for. I could see it lasting me 5 years+ .

Sorry, I should have updated, but I confirmed that the CPU is soldered.
