Screen protector?
Does the 2740p need a screen protector if I don't want to scratch the screen? I might write a lot on it, such as for school for example.

Re: Screen protector?
I would recommend a screen protector if you are going to be heavily using the screen with a pen, or want to avoid dings and scratches on the screen. There are tons out there; but the consensus looks like either Exim or Photodon scree protectors should be fine (though there are more than that, read over this thread as there is a lot of good info there -http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/hp-s...r-caution.html-)
I personally have the Photodon MXT screen protector (I think it was $15), it barely changes from the screen aspects my 2730p had before (it brings ever so slightly less clarity at extreme angles, that is about it); it gives a totally smooth and even surface, and has the peace of mind it brings.Current: HP 2730p Win 7 & Linux Mint | Toshiba M4 | Motion M1400 renice 120GB SSD | ITRONIX IX-325 | Motion F5 (U7500 update) | Fujitsu P1620 | T4220 w/SXGA+ 160GB Intel X18-M & 1TB HDD in bay | broken TC4400 [for experimentation] | i5 3570K mITX desktop w/GTX460 | ASUS N10j

Re: Screen protector?
I used water and the microfiber cloth that came with my screen protector. you really don't need more than water and a microfiber cloth to clean your screen (as long as your water is clean that is)
to clean the screen with the protector on, I just use water and a microfiber cloth as wellCurrent: HP 2730p Win 7 & Linux Mint | Toshiba M4 | Motion M1400 renice 120GB SSD | ITRONIX IX-325 | Motion F5 (U7500 update) | Fujitsu P1620 | T4220 w/SXGA+ 160GB Intel X18-M & 1TB HDD in bay | broken TC4400 [for experimentation] | i5 3570K mITX desktop w/GTX460 | ASUS N10j

Re: Screen protector?
This usually goes without saying, but just in case there is a casual reader out there who doesn't know any better...
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE WINDEX OR ANY OTHER CORROSIVE GLASS CLEANER ON YOUR TABLET SCREEN (or Television or PC monitor for that matter)

Re: Screen protector?
I use the Photodon AntiGlare. And if the light hits it just right, it shows the scars to prove it's worth 5 times over.
