A couple of questions:

1. Are you able to customize the tm2t to add "Beats by Dr. Dre?"

2. I've read through the "tm2t vs. 2740" thread but I couldn't come to a conclusion..... would a student user be able to discern a dramatic difference in processing speed from the current processer in tm2t (or eventually, i3 tm2t) vs. i5 2740?

1) Do you mean something similar to the Envy? I don't think so.

2) Yes, it's a considerable update. The new TM2 processors should have similar performance to the 2740p processors. You can also expect the TM2 to perform much better in applications that use the dedicated ATI GPU (such as 3D modeling, games, etc.)

It's better if you wait a few weeks, the new TM2 should be launched very soon.

I am definitely waiting for the new TM2 processors before ordering.

The new envys and the new touchsmart desktops have Beats by Dr. Dre, makes you wonder if the new tm2 will include this as a customizable option.
