No more tx2500z?????
Some new deals at HP had me checking to see if it was better than my current order, but I can't find a place to order or configure the tx2500z anymore
Instead there's some new regular 13inch laptop, dv3z, and only the tx2z for a touch tablet.

There's probably a couple quickship models, like the tx2510us, but that's it. No more wacom? I think the tx2z still starts at least $200 more than the tx2500z did.

If you work for HP, you can find out when the TX2 is coming to Europe! =)
And perhaps get us some info on why the TX25xx series was discontinued?

Re: No more tx2500z?????
NewEgg still has the tx2500 listed but not having the machine listed on HP's site might mean that the end is near.

i think hp not listing means this is the end, they're clearing out stock w/ the quick buy models.

it's Dominican Republic Tigerlilly

Re: No more tx2500z?????
After posting this last night, my tx2500z order from a week ago just shipped, 2 days ahead of schedule. I was worried they might say canceled or something.
I was going to post the best deal for a fully loaded model, the tx2635us at B&H video, but it now shows the model is no longer in stock, but discontinued. Using a cashback service and the rebate, it would have been $930 after rebates, even no tax or shipping in CA. I think the $50 rebate is about to end. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc..._Notebook.html
In the US, best possible deal now is at Circuit City for the tx2510us model. $850 after rebates. Office Depot currently has it too, but higher priced.

Oh, I hear the tx2510us from HP seemed to be 32bit. But for some reason there are reports of 64bit versions at stores.

Re: No more tx2500z?????
Besides the tx2510us, they also carry the tx2635us, a 4gb Ram, 64bit OS, 320gb, ZM-82 version. But $1199 at the moment. They did have it for $999 for a while, like B&H video had it, making it a decent deal with $50 rebate back then.
It's even gone from Costco's HP customize order system.

Re: No more tx2500z?????
No tx2500 is harsh. Oh well guess I'm going to HAVE to get a fujitsu or lenovo now. No Wacom == a Tablet that isnt worth even $1 to me.
