Default T4220 & ASUS Security Protect Manager: auto fingerprint capture after wakeup

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook T4220 w/32-bit Windows Vista Ultimate SP1. I use ASUS Security Protect Manager (Version 2.1.0.844.12), and for the most part it has been working great for me. I find it a lot better than Omnipass.

I turn off the "Enable automatic fingerprint capture" option, because I find that when this is enabled, I frequently inadvertently touch the fingerprint sensor while inking, which causes my writing to be lost as the focus shifts.

My problem is that every time my computer awakes from sleep, the "Enable automatic fingerprint capture" option is turned back on! I open up the "Settings and Options" window, and the option is NOT checked, but yet it is still accepting fingerprint input causing the inadvertent focus-shifting problem mentioned above. So I check the option, click "Apply", uncheck the option, click "Apply" again, and now it is turned off. I go on my merry way, but the next time the machine wakes up from sleep, it's enabled yet again.

Does anyone else have this problem?
Any ideas on how to fix it?

    thanks,
    adamk

Control Panel -> Fingerprint Sensor Settings - uncheck Enable Navigation

That works for me and my T4210 with the Asus software.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I have been using that setting, but the problem persists. (Actually, since I've got the updated Fingerprint Driver V7.10.0.2, the equivalent setting is found in Control Panel -> TruePrint - check No Nav radio button.)
