Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
I use my tablet 99% for art.
Using Sketchbook Pro, ArtRage, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver mostly.
Will this hack effect the pressure sensitivity or calibration?
Also will it decrease the sharpness of the screen resolution in any way? I read through this thread and it seems as though people have issues with messy type in Secondary Landscape.
Has anyone come across any other side effects?
Just trying to do as much research as possible before doing this.
It's not that i am disappointed with my Fujitsu T5010, IMO it is probably the best tablet PC on the market. But this is the one nagging issue i have with it. It would be pretty much perfect if it had the Secondary Landscape unlocked from the beginning.

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
So can it be confirmed that if i just do the registry fix, that i will have full functionality?
All tablet buttons, all hotkeys, Secondary Landscape as default tablet orientation, pressure sensitivity, and everything appearing in control panel?
Because if that is the case, then i won't bother uninstalling the Fujitsu drivers.
And then the only issue that will be left is the clear type issue?
I'll do this later tonight if someone can confirm this for me before i go ahead and do it.
ALso, one last question, how can i check to see what version of Vista i'm running? 32 or 64 bit? Where do i locate this information? Control panel?

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
@GFX,
I believe pressure sensitivity doesn't have anything to do with Graphic Driver, it is handled by independent digitizer driver.
Autorotation, however is indeed handled by Graphic Driver.
I updated (so no clean install) my Fujitsu's stock driver with Intel's generic driver without any loss of functionality whatsoever. (Well that's MY case
remember my stock driver has 2ndary orientation enabled by default, so no reg fix needed. )
Autorotation, tablet button both working flawlessly just like before and somehow I got extra .1 point in my WEI LOL
The ClearType issue seems to also present on my T5010, but I don't really mind it. If you're really concernd with this issue, this may help (Cleartype in 'secondary landscape'?.
You can check your OS version on Computer Properties (just press Windows + Pause|Break).

Thanks, RazzNuts
So you recommend keeping the original Fujitsu drivers and just doing the registry changes?
Or, should i delete the Fujitsu drivers and install the Intel drivers?Fujitsu Lifebook T5010

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
I did the registry change and kept the Fujitsu drivers. Wacom sensitivity is not affected in secondary landscape, it works fine. Secondary portrait does not work though, the cursor is aligned to the other orientation (pretty weird).
Cleartype is a bit fuzzy but it's not a big problem.

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
oddly you cannot access the secondary landscape with the rotation button or seem to find it in the settings however if you simply right click on the desktop, under graphics options and rotation the secondary landscape mode is available on the t5010 no need for registry change

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
Frog already confirmed that he/she was able to unlock secondary landscape orientation using registry hack, without updating the driver itself.
So if your intention is just to unlock the disabled orientation, and you're happy with your current stock driver, why fix what ain't broken?
I'd prefer the latest driver because it has more settings and there seem to be slight performance increase (well, may be it's only me
).
I did not have that on with my stock driver, only after after updating to Intel latest generic driver (have-disk method, installer refused to replace customized version) I have those handy options in context menu.
My T5010 also came out-of-the-box with secondary landscape mode available, but as you might have read, some other's didn't.
My rotation button seems to able to switch my screen into all available orientations,
You can enable/disable orientation change controlled by rotation button on
Ctrl Panel -> Tablet PC Settings -> Display -> Sequence.-RaZZ

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
Ah screw it, i'm just going to go through the whole thing, because i want to be able to use the actual physical tablet button to rotate the screen.
If this is not possible with just hacking the registry, then i may as well delete the Fujitsu drivers and install the Intel drivers.
I'm just concerned.
I am afraid that if my tablet blackscreens on me, i will not be able to fix it.
Also i am afraid of any other side effects, like hotkeys not working or anything like that. Like FN+F3 to do screen brightness for example.
The tablet buttons will work fully with the new Intel drivers?Fujitsu Lifebook T5010

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
Where from earth you got the idea of updating graphic driver will result o functionality loss of tablet button??
Tablet buttons are handled by different driver AFAIK.
This is just driver update that I'm quite sure is reversible process by means of System Restore.
Just try the registry fix and see whether it's working.-RaZZ

Re: How to unlock Secondary Landscape Orientation on the T5010
So i just went ahead and unlocked Secondary Landscape by installing the new Intel Driver and doing the registry changes.
I am so happy now that i have Secondary Landscape.
I have yet to turn off the computer and turn it back on, so i am hoping nothing goes wrong after that.
Also, now i have to locate the thread about the Clear Type issue.
I wrote down a link from that thread a while ago, and it is this:
www.dragonseye.com/blog/pages/CTR.html
And it has something to download called Clear Type Rotator.
Is this trusted?
Thanks again RazzNuts and Grimnir!Fujitsu Lifebook T5010
