Fujitsu T4220 Dust Under Screen after 2 weeks of use
So finally it happed, what I feared most about fujitsu tablet. I though that the problem occurs only with 4210 models, well I was wrong. Today after changing screen protector I noticed that there is significant amount of dust is being collected in region near power button. I wonder do you guys experience the same problem.?

Yeap. Same problem. In the same area as well and worsening. Although mine is a T4215.

Re: Fujitsu T4220 Dust Under Screen after 2 weeks of use
Just had a chat with fujistsu representative. He said he will talk to his superiors about this problem. Hope they will replace tablet, or at least find a way to fix it.
Meanwhile do you think is there anything I can do to prevent it from worsening?
( Also, it really puzzles me, how could god under the screen.)
Also Rieuk how often did you leave you tablet screen up?

Re: Fujitsu T4220 Dust Under Screen after 2 weeks of use
Hmm well on weekdays it's up for all of about 7-8 hours a day. Then on weekends it's up for around 14 hrs a day.
What I was confused about was why the dust wasn't appearing on the side of the stylus bay but rather, near the 'power on' button.

Perhaps the screen glue's coming undone on that side? I'm really curious about this too, it doesn't look like there's any way for dust to get in from that corner... unless it got in from elsewhere and collected on that side.

Re: Fujitsu T4220 Dust Under Screen after 2 weeks of use
I don't have T4220 (yet), but have a friend with using tablet who sits next to me in class with the same problem. Most of the dust seems to start in the corners and having screen protector seems to reduce the rate of dust collection. I curious as to whether the heat from the tablet is loosening the glue, and forcing unequal expansion of the different layers in the screen, allowing dust. Any thoughts?

Re: Fujitsu T4220 Dust Under Screen after 2 weeks of use
Sounds plausible. Perhaps the interface between the screen and the chassis isn't entirely non-permeable... can't verify this since I had it covered with tape from day 1 (because of the screen protector), but perhaps someone else can.
