Default Pen cannot raise hidden task bar

I am a new user, so apologies if I am missing something obvious.

When I set "auto hide the task bar", which I need for displaying OpenOffice presentations for example, I find I am unable to raise the task bar using the pen. I can do it with touch, but hovering or touching the pen at the bottom of the screen fails to raise it. Occasionally I even have problems with raising the bar using touch, meaning I end up using the windows key - a very kludgy business.

Is it possible this is just a calibration issue, where the pen is failing to register close enough to the bottom of the screen? Any other ideas?

The task bar is expecting the mouse or pen at first 3 -5 pixels. Calibration to closer to the edge would be better.

Ok, looks like a bad calibration. Removing calibration data fixed it. Is there a better way to calibrate the pen than using the built-in tool?

    Hey pax,

I can't advise you on calibrating your pen (but if you use the alternate search you will find a few discussions on that subject) but maybe you'll be interested in the small AutoHotkey program that I use to show/hide the Windows taskbar in one click. See two posts below.

    Hey Angelo,

Try the files in the zip file in the following link:
    Toggle_Taskbar.zip

I haven't updated my post above because there weren't any comments about it but the files in this new link are much simpler: just download and double-click!
I've included two different files: the first one toggles Windows taskbar autohide on and off. This is probably what you meant. You may also want to try the second one: it completely hide/unhides the taskbar.
Note that I've only tested these on my Windows 7 64bits laptop (and I don't have my ep121 close by to test them right now).

    Cheers!
