Default Physical buttons not working - How to install AsusSender ?

    Hi,

I've got an EP121, and I've done a fresh install of Win7 Pro x64. Only problem is : physical buttons are not working. I went through some troubleshooting, an read the few topics related to this subject.

I checked the startup tab in msconfig, and it appears that I'm lacking the AsusSender service. I couldn't find it in the Services list either, and it doesn't seems to be present anywhere in C:\Windows

I couldn't fin any information on how to install AsusSender, so I'm guessing it's a service that is installed by some driver, but I have no idea which one it is.

    I already installed :
    - ATK_200
    - ATK_201
    - ATK_WMIACPI

Thanks for your help, I'll be happy to provide any additional information !

Thanks for the tip. Too bad for me, APRP is already installed. I tried to reinstall it though, but nothing changed.

can you confirm that the buttons DO work outside windows?

you can boot something with usb stick o something with a boot menu, and press de volKeys to surf up and down though that menu.

If they dont work there... probably hardware problem!

There should be 3 Asusender processes in your startup process.

go to asustek site.. goto eee b121 instead ep121..get hotkey service driver 1003, not hotkey service utility..

they are compatible with ep121 and there are also the latest version for gsensor, wmiacpi too.

    Asusdock is also latest too

Thanks for the screenshot, it was very useful... It appears that Hotkey Service wasn't correctly installed. I had to retry installing it a couple of times before it finally worked.
I already went through this installation prior to my post here, but somehow it failed the first time, and I wasn't aware of that (no error showed up during the install).

Problem solved, thank you very much for your precious help !
