Damaged temperature sensor
Hi,
When trying to replace the 32Gb SSD with a bigger one, I accidentally cut the copper wire of the main temperature sensor.
Obviously, fans are running full speed all the time now, which is pretty annoying.
Is there any solution to this issue ? I don't know if I can fix the sensor, replace it, deactivate it, or anything that would improve this situation.
Thanks for your help !

Re: Damaged temperature sensor
you better off send it back ASUS..otherwise solder a jumper wire yourself if you know how.
There were many threads on this.. a search using alternate method in Announcement will usually get what you are looking for.ASUS EP121-001A05M 64/4 Win7x64SP1 bios->modded704-Oct version

Re: Damaged temperature sensor
I "searched this forum" with quite a lot of keywords and didn't find anything. I can't even find this thread when searching for words contained in my own post...
What's the "alternate method in Announcement" ? Edit : found it, thanks for the tip, and for your answer !

Re: Damaged temperature sensor
Ok, so I checked every related topic on this forum, and found your previous post on this very matter (posting it for referencing matters) :
Fan Noise = damaged thermal sensor
Let's say I'm not willing to repair it myself, could this fall under the warranty ? Can I just send it back to Asus for repair even if I have to pay for it (and especially if I try to repair it and don't succeed) ?
