Where the heck are my OneNote files?
I can't figure this out for the life of me.OneNote says my notebooks an in C:/Users/My Name/Documents/OneNote Notebooks. But the only thing there is a 4 KB Unfiled Notes.one file. Same for my backups folder. But my SkyDrive account has 20+ MB across 3 different notebooks. what's going on? Where are my local files?

Re: Where the heck are my OneNote files?
Right click on the title of your notebook in OneNote and hit properties. It will tell you where that notebook is stored. Could be the notebook is not in the standard directory.

From within OneNote menu: File>Info - shows the location of your notebooks.

Re: Where the heck are my OneNote files?
...huh. The location for all my notebooks is https://skydrive.live.com/edit.aspx/...etc.
There has to be a local file somewhere, else I couldn't get my notebooks when I don't have a network connection.

Re: Where the heck are my OneNote files?
Try looking in:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\14.0\Backup
The 14.0 might be different depending on your version.Last edited by JimDandy; 11-09-2011 at 11:37 AM. Reason: typo
