Problem reconnecting Bluetooth keyboard
Sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else already but I did a search and could not find anything specifically relevant.
I am having a problem where after I connect my Asus Bluetooth keyboard (the one that comes with the unit), it works fine until I turn it off when I am done with it.
Why do I turn it off?
Because I keep it in my bag and while it's in there keys are belong pressed and the battery runs out in a day which makes me go through batteries like popcorn. So I turn it off.
the problem with that is that when i turn it back on it will not reconnect to the EP121. In order to use it, I must unpair it and repair it every time which is highly inconvenient basically rendering the keyboard basically useless.
So it works, and it will re-pair to the slate once I do the stylus-push-button thing all over again but it will NOT re-pair once it's been turned off.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so is there a workaround or fix? If not is there another Bluetooth keyboard that DOES do this? I can't imagine I'm the only one on the planet who finds this slightly inconvenient.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!-Mike

Thanks for the input. While the problem does not seem to be just me, sadly neither of those threads had a solution. Ridiculous that Asus would make such a piece of crap. It's great when it works but it seldom does.

Re: Problem reconnecting Bluetooth keyboard
Sure, I tried to turn off the Bluetooth and turn it back on again which did not work. I tried the other options as well to turn off the radios in the Device manager which also did not work. The rest of the suggestions were more luck based sort of things where the person did not really have a true solution. I guess there ISN'T really a solution to this issue since many others seem to have it.

Re: Problem reconnecting Bluetooth keyboard
If you use your bluetooth keyboard a lot, try new battery..and when you refresh.. you need to wake up key board, so EP121 could find it.

Re: Problem reconnecting Bluetooth keyboard
has anyone come up with a solution to this. Whenever I take out my keyboard to use with my tablet, I have to pair it from scratch. It's easily repeatable. I turn off my tablet. Then I turn it on again, and I can't get the keyboard to work again until I remove the device and add a device again.

See the note at the bottom of Post #1 in this discussion thread:
How The Samsung Keyboard Works
Does this suggest anything as to how you have been using your Asus keyboard? Mine works without connection problems, but you do have to tap a key a few times at first until the connection is re-established...
