Asus R1F Screen goes blank in battery mode
Sometimes in battery mode my screen will go completely blank-- but the backlight is still on. The color of the screen has been random, sometimes blue, violet, lightish brown this last time. Has happened more and more recently. When it first happened, it happened once and then didnt happen for a long time, so I just played it off as a fluke. Havent actually done a controlled test yet, but has always happened on battery power, and usually within the first 30 mins. I also have a problem with the mouse pointer stuck in the top left sometimes, but I dont know if its related. Has anyone had this happen before, even just once?

Re: Asus R1F Screen goes blank in battery mode
I haven't had this exact issue happen, but I have had a sudden shutdown occur in battery mode. It has happened more than once, but I haven't posted to the forum about it b/c I want to get a better sense of what I'm doing when it happens. This has only happened to me since I upgraded to Vista a few months ago, so I'm fairly certain it is software related.

Re: Asus R1F Screen goes blank in battery mode
I have the same problem. Except with me it's black and one time it was white. Once it does this you have to restart (via hibernation or turning off the computer) to get a normal screen again. It's very annoying because I have plenty of battery left but the screen goes blank.

Bumping this, still having the problem occasionally. Screen goes black like the backlight went out or something because I can usually barely see the stuff on the screen if I look hard enough.
