Topic says it all post your experiences. I tried but never got it to work so in advanced boot option now i limited it to 3GB and using it on 3GB.

Do you have 64-bit windows? - you will need that for the full 4GB to register.

Also try reading The Niles thread on his experience with 64-bit vista/4GB of RAM on the R1F

Yes i am using vista 64 and it does detect 4gb but computer becomes very slow boot time increases to 5 mins as mentioned above limited vista usage to 3gb ram and works fine. Read the niles thread i think he is using 2gb ram with vista 64 instead of 4.

Does anyone try 3gb ram ( 1gx1, 2gx1) at vista x32, I just wander if it shows 2.4g the same as R1F.

Just mention: I have used 2g kindstone + 1g original ram( NANYA), working with 7200 hard disk. It enhances a lot and work well in Vista 32. Booting time is about 1min 30 sec.
