Default Scripts to uninstall applications in eeenote

    Dear all,

Some of us might have installed some applications and do not want them in our device anymore. Now these apps are available through Qtpackage manager, and can be easily installed and uninstalled without resorting to dvt_check files.

The two programs that were ported lately -FBreader and Djview4- are now available in Qtpackage. It would be great to have them installed through the package manager.

Would it be possible to use this thread to offer dvt_check scripts to uninstall these two apps as well as others that people might have installed through the "traditional" method before qtpackage appeared?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ironcero,

We have attempted to create the packages in the freeenote.org feeds in a way that allows people to install them over the top of an instance that was previously installed using the dvt_check script method.

This means that you should be able to remove an application by installing, then uninstalling it with QtPacker.

A separate, dvt_check based uninstaller can be created, but it would take time to identify the files in each app, the links created, and the settings files that would need to be removed for each application. Then each uninstallation script would need to be tested to ensure that removal didn't break the EeeNote.

At some point in the future, I am going to pull the FullInstall package from freeenote.org and go exclusively to QtPacker packages. The FullInstall with dvt_check script is too unwieldy and has some inherent problems, with uninstallation just the start.

    pb
