Asus Dr900 apps on EaNote?
Asus have released an E-ink style 9" reader with some pretty cool apps such as translation in real-time. I was wondering if this would also work on the EaNote system? They seem to be pretty similar systems but with different displays. would it be possible to get the source code for the 900 and add some apps to the 800?
BTW: I originally went out to buy the 900, but as they'd sold out came home with an 800 which seemed more robust and quicker as it had an LCD screen.

If you visit the Asus site you can get the source codes etc for the 900 via the download section. It runs on Linux too so in theory you should be able to use the same software, right?
Has anyone had a look at the 900 software. It's got a lot of cool features that the 800 lacks.

Re: Asus Dr900 apps on EaNote?
I haven't used it yet, I've only seen it used on YouTube and the Asus website, but it has a real-time multi-language translator that can translate phrases in a book (similar to the Sony E-reader), it has text-to-speech such as on many of the other e-readers on the market now and it has little things such as a 'continue reading' function on the main menu that takes you back into the last book you were reading before you turned it off (when you have 40 books in your archive, that feature can be very good) and functions for searching key words in a book (again, like Sony e-readers do).
It was launched on the Italian market recently, but seems to have sold out pretty quickly.
I heard rumours that Asus plan to make a colour display version of the Ea800/900, which is probably why they are abandoning the 800 in terms of updates.
My only hope is that I can teach myself enough about Linux to port in some of the apps for Linux systems on the web.
