Does the iPad support Microsoft Office?
I would like to type up documents and do excel spreadsheets. Is this possible with the iPad?

Nope, I don't think so. That's why there's all the fuss about all the new tablets for Windows 8.

Any decent Microsoft Office to use on the iPad ?
I am having issues with documents to go on the iPad n major synch problems. The company has no tel support either!Gateway CX210X tablet[/I][/B]: ram from 2to 4 gb; cpu C2D 1.83 Ghz(T5600) to C2D 2.33 Ghz(T7600), HD to intel SSD,vista to Win 7 HP; intel 5300wireless card [/SIZE]
Toshiba M400 tabletpc : C2D 2Ghz( T7200),ram from 2 to 4 GB,vista ult. to Win7 HP. HD to OCZ 128 GB SSD.
Wireless card to Intel 5300
HP TX 2000 tablet- Gifted
Waited on HP slate 500( 82 days!)!
Ord: 10/29/10
Shipped : 1/15/11
Delvrd : 1/19/11 !
HP Slate 500 - 8.9" ssd to 128 gb .

Can someone link to that? I mean no offense, but I don't think that's true. There are other word processing apps, of course, and some of them may be good, but if you want Office, my understanding is you don't have any options on the iPad.

there are rumors they are making an ms office for osx but a rumor is a rumor and microsoft said they will not comment on it either way. nor confirm or deny.
I give up on tablet laptops. now using second generation 21ux-DTK2100

You might try Quick Office or Office^2 HD, Apple also have their own office suite, namely Pages, Numbers and Keynotes. All are adequate for basic usage but I believe Apple's ones use different file format.

Microsoft Office for iOS will come in springtime. There are still some problems between Apple and Microsoft regarding the sharing of profits.
