Have been sitting on the fence....with new Ipad 3 rumoured resoultion time to act?

I've sat on the fence with all the Ipad and Tablet hoo-ha, mainly because I love having lots of resolution so I can have lots of things on my desktop at the same time.

My laptops are all 1920 x 1200 and I even have a 3840 x 2400 IBM T221 monitor as a desktop device, all this need has held me back from tablets and Ipads because they just don't have the real estate I desire in a device (I use VNC and Virtual Machines a lot so resolution helps to see all the target and host desktops at the same time).

I have read rumours that the Ipad 3 will have substantially improved resolution (is this really confirmed yet?) and as such this is bound to move the goalposts for the other players.....

So are there any rumours regarding higher the 1280x800 resolution Android devices yet?

A tablet with 1920x1200 would be optimum for me, but I can live with 1920x1080.....

Thoughts?

Ipad3,4,5 is still a mobile unit. won't have multiple windows. speed is slower in compare to i5..mobile devices minimal features.... touch is excellence ..that is all

It's great for watching lots of desktops at the same time......and I assure you I didn't pay retail.

I do hope iPad 3 would boast that resolution and advanced CPU and GPU, so I can do some 3D work when I get ideas outside.
