Is iOS 4.0 Coming to the iPad Tomorrow?
Apple is holding a press event tomorrow. The big news is almost certainly going to be the announcment of the fourth-generation iPod touch, but a thought just occurred to me: Could Apple also use this event to unveil iOS 4.0 for the iPad?
Apple said when iOS 4 was first unveiled that the iPad would get this upgrade in the fall. By many people's reckoning, tomorrow is the first day of fall.
So, what do you think?

I highly doubt it, but it would be a welcome upgrade. Up until now, multitasking can only be obtained via jailbreaking, which voids your warranty. The lack of multitasking is a serious hindrance on the iPad.

Turns out we have to wait until November, as Jamison spelled out here:
I'm getting impatient for multitasking, but I'll survive. I'm very intrigued by the wireless printing feature coming in iOS 4.2.
