Did you not read the link? I'm sorry, but IBM is not selling a yottabyte hard drive. They are not giving them away because they are not making them. 1024^4 Terabytes is one Yottabyte. I'm going out on a limb and saying I doubt there is even one Yottabyte in existence at this point. The number is so far-fetched it's illogical and to believe a drive holding it exists is lunacy.

    In fact: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yottabyte
The yottabyte has not been achieved in amount of total data.

Just to have some form of on-topicness to this. I totally know why Castleman is MIA. His model obviously shipped with the faulty part, causing the machine to malfunction and in turn explode in his hands. RIP Castleman =(

yeah, i talked to rep today who said there was a faulty part and that my tablet wont ship until 7/30 as opposed to an EAD of 7/25. So thats not too bad, though I ordered mine right away. She couldn't tell me what the part was. At least they caught the problem before they shipped them.

that is weird that there is a faulty part if castleman got his properly. also, i ordered mine on 7/2 and everything sounds fine for mine. Maybe us who ordered early (i ordered early morning) dont have the faulty parts like later first batchers.

According to the web status, automated phone status and the fact that I haven't gotten any emails from Gateway, I'm still on track for a July 25th EAD. I'll call and talk to a rep tomorrow (I've been at work all day) and find out for sure.
