It will be heavy to carry in your arms and work on the screen.

Re: Gateway E-295C/C-140 Tablet PC is Official
I think I want one. Except, I'm not sure I fully understand how big 14" is or how much it will weigh. Not to mention that this makes me wonder if something else is around the corner. I'm not sure I'm sold on the 1280x768. I would rather 1280x1024 or anything greater than 768. I find that when in tablet mode,768 always leaves me wanting more. In any event, I look forward to a review. Maybe the ASUS R1F with Santa Rosa is around the corner and it too will have a dedicated card? Here's to wishful thinking!

Indeed it does Shog and many forget that sometimes the larger screen can end up in a smaller size overall.

Hey future reviewers, please don't forget to add 3dmark tests (or test some heavy graphic game or application) on it since it is the tablet pc who has the best graphic card so far (Radeon Mobility HD X2300).

Looks like there's a little snafu with the post, Tiffany will fix it as soon as she can when she's online.
In the mean time, there's an alternative way to read this same exact news post.

Re: Gateway E-295C/C-140 Tablet PC is Official
I put in an order for the E-295C a couple weeks ago. It's due on the 31st.
Here are the specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7300
(2.0GHz)
2GB Main Memory
100GB Hard Drive (7200rpm)
8x Super Multi Format DVD-Ram Optical
Drive
14.0” WXGA TFT Active Matrix
WACOM/Touch Screen. Touch screen
capabilities enabled when running Windows
Vista
ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X2300 HD 256MB
PCI Express Graphics (128MB GDDR3
Dedicated Memory with up to 256MB using
HyperMemory™ Technology)
Intel 3945 802.11a/b/g Wireless Network
Card
Intel 10/100/1000 Network Card
v.92 56K Modem
7-in-1 Media Card Reader
Biometric/Fingerprint Reader
Also featuring:
Discrete Video Card for
higher graphics needs
and gaming
12-cell battery
I managed to get it for $1759.61 including shipping and tax. I think I got quite a fair deal on it. ;D
I am, indeed, having the same problem as the others though-- it says it's been processing for nearly two weeks now! I'm not too worried though, my dad ordered a Gateway 8 years ago (and amazingly enough it still runs like a charm). I think the wait shall surely be worth it.
