W500 and W510 Difference

Is there a big difference between the W500 and W510 processors?

W500 has C-50 amd 1.0GHz processor
W510 has Z2760 Clovertrail 1.5GHz Processor

Would you notice the difference in these processors when using the tablet?

just not sure whether to pre order the W510 until i know what kind of difference is between the processors.

Well... from a benchmark point of view, the atom in the 510 will be faster. However the graphicspart on the w500 will be faster.
So what this translates to, not really sure.

But i think you should also take in account the batterylife. On the w500 its not really spectacular. Mine will last for about 4/5 hours use, the w510 should do 8. Oh, and there's the sensors (or lack of) thing on the w500. And the productsupport...

bottomline, i'd go with the w510 if i were you.

Yes the W510 will be lighter / thinner / better battery etc , but i'm just not sure on the performance difference between the 2 tablets

Well, if you're into stats, the W500 has the AMD C-60 cpu, the W510 has the new intel Atom Z2760 (clovertrail)

Passmark CPU
Intel Atom Z2760 @ 1.80GHz : 679
vs
AMD C-60 APU : 523

Video Passmark G3D
Radeon HD 6290M (c-60 apu): 194
vs
PowerVR SGX 545 : ?

Can't really find good data on the graphics capability of the Atom Z2760, but here's some realworld data:

(don't mind the diskperformance of the W500, i updated to a crucial m4 120 ssd)

Realworld performance? Don't know!

No, not really, maybe it will be noticeble with some gameplay.
Also, windows 8 makes good use of graphics hardware acceleration, so maybe the W500 wins here.
Overall, it probably won't be much difference
