M285-E Fan Issue
I've got an M285-E and it has started saying at then end of BIOS
Main CPU Fan Failure
02FA
I bought a new heatsink/fan off Ebay thinking that it might be the sensor on the fan, but that wasn't the case.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have anything for me to continue the boot, so even though both fans seem to be working just fine, the machine won't load the OS.
Anybody know any workarounds?
Thanks!

Re: M285-E Fan Issue
Unfortunately, my Gateway C-140XL is experiencing the same issue at the moment, with the same message at the end of the BIOS.
However, the fact that you have already replaced the fan with a functioning one and you are still getting the same error message is very disconcerting to me.
It may confirm my worst fear that the motherboard in my tablet is failing, and that your motherboard is failing as well.
If anyone at all knows of anyone in this forum who has replaced the motherboard in their Gateway tablet and made a thread detailing how they did it, could you please post a link to that thread?
I thank anyone who does this for doing it.

Chaos... 3 Things...
I) Patience is a virtue
II) There is a search option
III) Take a look at the date man... No replies either? ...
