Re: FAQ for new and potential owners of C-140x
yes, yes with an *, and yes. Your manual will show you how to replace, but I will say, be careful with the left most tabs, as the clip towards teh battery was stuck for me. I was afraid to break it. Yes you can buy the 2x2GB sticks, but for the full 4GB ram used, you need the 64-bit version of Vista. Otherwise, you will get 3.2GB available.
you should be able to buy anywhere. New Egg is the cheapest. I have to hurry and send my rebate so I can get my module for $26. IT was $36 with a $10MiR.
I wasn't going to look for her's but saw it posted on the related videos under yours. So I added her's cuz "technically" she was first. You have better eyebrows than her, but its not enough to bump you. Send me a cookie and I could maybe do it.

Re: FAQ for new and potential owners of C-140x
How about this. We do it the ole fashioned way. Most votes counts as winner. When I beat her in the polls, ahhh views, then I get the number one nod. As well, I have to say, I say that video by her and, lol, that is what inspired me to do a real one that was actually informative.

its alphabetical. And your video popped her's up, or i'd have forgotten it. So your popularity doomed you.
Anyways, I labeled yours a bit better. Would have stunk if I just said your overview. Folks can see that there is more parts.

****car, how about adding TabbyAJR's "The Decison" to your list of resources? I think it answers a lot of common questions about how the c-141x stacks up against the competition.

Servicing and Return Window Fraud
HEADS UP!
For anyone buying a tablet from Gateway, inspect your system THOROUGHLY at least three times after receiving it. If you find ANY defects, DO NOT waste your time with trying to get the system serviced.
Gateway has a 15-day Limited Guarantee Return window.
If you set up your shipping through Gateway (ie buy it yourself or a shipping package from Gateway for $44) they use DHL GROUND! This means, from Portland Oregon it takes EIGHT DAYS to get to Gateway. I sent my system out on 3-31 and they did not receive the system until 4-8. It took a couple of days to fix and another 3-4 days to get back to me.
It is practically IMPOSSIBLE for you to get a system serviced and returned and still be within their 15 day return window.
Also, the first time I sent my system in I put post-it notes ON the problems: the system was returned UNTOUCHED, in worse condition than it went out.
Please keep this in mind when purchasing a Gateway system.
If you get a defective product, return it immediately. If they ask you why you would not prefer to get the system serviced, or try to tell you you cannot return the system until you have attempted servicing it, tell them that Gateway should not have attempted to commit consumer fraud against A. Pratt in Troutdale Oregon.

Defects to search for when C-141XL arrives
My system (supposedly) arrives sometime today and I've been seeing a lot of suggestions to search for any defects once it does. How about we save the future customers, or victims depending on opinion, some time and list some of the known defects, eh?
Gateway C-141XL
Ordered: 4/13 EAD: 4/21
UPS EAD: 4/17
Specs: Just look to the next post.
